How to convert JPG photos to a PDF
Offices and websites often ask for a PDF when all you have is a photo. Maybe you clicked a picture of a certificate, or took ten photos of a notebook. Here is how to put them into one PDF.
Steps
- Open JPG to PDF.
- Choose your pictures. You can pick many at once. JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF and BMP all work.
- Check the order in the list. Move a picture up or down with the arrows if needed. One picture becomes one page.
- Pick a page size: A4, US Letter, or "Same as the image".
- Pick a margin: none, small or medium.
- Press Create PDF, then download it.
Your photos are not uploaded. The PDF is made on your device.
Which page size is best?
A4 is the normal choice in India. Use it if the PDF will be printed or filed. The picture is fitted inside the page.
Same as the image makes each page match its photo exactly. It is good for screenshots and receipts, because nothing is cropped or padded. A wide photo gets a wide page.
US Letter is mostly for documents going abroad.
Photos of paper documents
If you are turning photos of paper into a PDF, the photo matters more than the tool. A few habits help a lot:
- Put the paper on a flat, plain surface with good light. Avoid shadows from your hand or phone.
- Hold the phone straight above the page, not at an angle.
- Fill the frame with the page, but leave the corners in view.
- Take the picture again if the text looks blurry when you zoom in.
The PDF is too big
Phone photos are large, so a PDF with many of them can be 20 MB or more. Run it through Compress PDF afterwards. Each photo can also be up to 25 MB when you add it.
Need to add this PDF to another one?
Use Merge PDF to put your new PDF together with other PDFs, for example a form that is already filled in.
Can I read the text in the PDF later?
No. A PDF made from photos holds pictures, not text. You cannot select or search the words. If you need the words, use Image to text on the photo first. It supports English and Hindi.
Is it free?
Yes. You can make up to three PDFs a day without registering. A free registration removes that limit.
