How to rotate PDF pages
Scanners and phone apps sometimes save a page sideways. Your PDF viewer lets you turn the view, but when you send the file, the page is still sideways for the other person. To fix it for good you have to rotate the pages and save the file.
Steps
- Open Rotate PDF.
- Choose your PDF.
- Pick the turn: 90° clockwise, 180°, or 90° counter-clockwise.
- Leave the pages box empty to turn every page. Or type the pages to turn, like 2, 5-7.
- Press Rotate pages and download the new PDF.
Which way should you turn?
Look at the page. If the top of the text points to the right, the page needs to go counter-clockwise. If it points to the left, turn it clockwise. If the text is upside down, use 180°.
Only some pages are wrong
This happens when a document mixes landscape and portrait pages. Type just the bad pages in the pages box. The other pages stay as they are. If you are not sure which pages are sideways, scroll through the PDF first and note the page numbers.
Turning twice
If you rotate a PDF that was already rotated, the turns add up. A page that was turned 90° and then turned 90° again ends up at 180°. If the result looks wrong, start again from the original file.
Mixed sizes after merging
When you join files with Merge PDF, a sideways page stays sideways. Rotate the merged file once at the end and fix all the bad pages in one go.
Does it change quality?
No. The page is not redrawn. Only the direction it is shown in changes, so text stays sharp and the file size stays about the same.
Privacy
The work happens in your browser. Your PDF is not uploaded to Luvkaam or anyone else.
